I want to thank you for the support of our magazine. The mag has been up and running since February 2011 and has really grown a solid readership. I am thankful for all your tweets, emails and comments! Due to a new development in my life, I unfortunately had to decide to discontinue the magazine for now.

I would like to thank our amazing editor @IamCarlaB_ who wrote about a dozen of articles every week. She has an authentic and entertaining way of writing, a complete style of her own. Thank you for all your great pieces!

And @NellePellz who wrote most of our live- and album reviews. Thank you for sharing your insightful thoughts about the R&B, Soul and Hip-Hop music we all love so much!

Cassie presents the second release off her forthcoming mixtape ‘RockaByeBaby.’

The sexy singer takes us on a ride through her sunny LA hometown in the visual for “Paradise” which features rapper Wiz Khalifa. Her new mixtape drops tomorrow, 11 april.

Those were the good old days! That’s what I think about when I hear TLC’s song “Creep”. With the biopic in the making, it isn’t such a coincidence that new material of the magical trio is surfacing. 

An alternative video of the chart-topping first single “Creep,” off of CrazySexyCool has just gone viral. This clip was shot and directed by Lionel C Martin, and apparently did not make the cut as the official video.

Those close to me should already know my slight obsession with J Cole’s eerie and infectious single “Power Trip” featuring Miguel so you can imagine my excitement about the anticipated visual release. (Written by @IamCarlaB_)

Cole takes a different route than most would expect with this video. The result is a dark love story with an unforeseen ending.

The video was shot in Cole’s hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina. In an interview, Cole said the idea for the video came to his mind while he was creating the song.

In today’s edition of “Too Foolish to Ignore” news I would like to focus on a certain singer/actor/reality star. If you haven’t guessed, the person I’m referencing is none other than Brandy’s brother, Mr. Ray J. (Written by @IamCarlaB_)

The sporadic singer released a track called “I Hit it First.” In the not-so-subtle jab at his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian and her current boyfriend Kanye West, details how he hit “it” before Kanye came into the picture.

“She might move on to rappers and ball players but we all know I hit it first,” he sings on the infectious track. “I had her head going north and her ass going south, but now baby chose to go West.”

Virginia R&B artist J. Artist is back with the visual to one of our favorite songs here at Supastarmag, “My Girl”. The video was directed by J. Artist himself and shot and edited by Nils Westergard.

Last week, March 27^th, R&B Diva Syleena Johnson paid a visit to Amsterdam. Miss Johnson treated her Dutch fans to a live performance, or as she called it ‘The Syleena Johnson Experience’ and it was her first time in Holland. Syleena’s concert in Paradiso Amsterdam was the kick off for her 3-city Acoustic Soul Sessions European Tour. Next cities being Paris and London. (@NellePellz)

I had the pleasure of seeing this R&B Diva live in action. I really didn’t know what to expect. All I know is that Syleena has an amazing voice. I’ve been following her for years and I am a fan of her music. However, seeing an artist live isn’t always a satisfying experience. But after seeing Miss Johnson doing her thing, I don’t understand why this woman is so underrated.

The lights dimmed, band members in place and “Underrate”’ started playing and Miss Syleena Johnson took the stage. Paradiso is a fairly small venue, creating a great vibe and a more intimate live performance. The band quickly took over from “Underrated” to the hook of “All Falls Down”, her 2004 hit with Kanye West.

Following controversy surrounding her song “Bow Down/I Been On,” Queen Bey has previewed her new Timbaland-produced single “Grown Woman” in her new Pepsi ad titled “Mirrors.”

Beyoncé shows off her dance moves alongside her past characters from “Crazy in Love,” “Bootylicious” and “Single Ladies” help the curvy singer embrace her past but “Live for Now.”
